Let's Change the World with Design! ... Dongseo University and Kyushu University, Japan, Jointly Host the 'SDGs Design International Competition 2022'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongseo University College of Design and Asia Future Design Institute, together with the Graduate School of Art and Engineering at Kyushu University in Japan, are jointly hosting the SDGs Design Unit and the ‘SDGs Design International Competition 2022’.
Now in its 4th year, the ‘SDGs Design International Competition 2022’ seeks creative ideas from young and promising future generations to change society.
The ‘SDGs Design International Competition 2022’ started in 2019 with the goal of encouraging future generations who will transform society, widely sharing new solutions worldwide, and becoming a driving force to improve future society.
The theme of the ‘SDGs Design International Competition 2022’ is ‘Quality Education,’ based on ‘SDGs Goal 4: Quality Education for All,’ with the purpose of ensuring that everyone can receive fair and good education and expanding learning opportunities in daily life.
The ‘SDGs Design International Competition 2022’ will award 300,000 yen for the Gold Prize, 100,000 yen for the Silver Prize, and 50,000 yen for the Bronze Prize in the ‘Quality Education Design Award’ category; 50,000 yen each in the ‘Corporate Award’ category; and a ‘High School Special Award’.
The competition will accept submissions until September 30, with the first round of judging in mid-October and the final judging at the end of October.
The final awards ceremony will be held on November 12, in conjunction with the 111 Project of Kyushu University in Japan, which celebrates its 111th anniversary this year, and Asia Week.
The ceremony will be conducted online via Zoom, featuring awardee presentations, panel discussions by judges, and various programs realizing quality education, accessible through networks of domestic and international universities and high schools.
