The Gyeonggi Province Governor Transition Committee announced on the 21st that Kim Seong-won, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Province branch of the People Power Party, informed them today that, following the central party's policy, they would not participate in the transition committee.
The transition committee expressed regret over the failure of the People Power Party personnel to join the committee, which had been promoted as part of bipartisan cooperation.
However, the committee added that the door remains open until the conclusion of its activities, and the assignment of subcommittee members can be adjusted based on the expertise of the personnel recommended by the People Power Party.
