Kyowon Group Wins 5 Categories at the '2022 Korea Education Brand Awards'
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Five brands under the education division of Kyowon Group won the grand prize in their respective categories at the ‘2022 Korea Education Brand Awards.’
The awarded brands are ▲Ppalganpen Math Master ▲Smart Kumon ▲AiCANDO ▲Wiz Island ▲Francis Parker Collegiate.
Now in its 20th year, the ‘Korea Education Brand Awards’ are researched and evaluated by the brand value assessment company Brandstock, which selects and announces the top brands in each education industry sector. The five brands awarded to Kyowon Group this year achieved the highest scores in each education sector in terms of recognition and trust.
‘Ppalganpen Math Master’ won the award for 11 consecutive years in the elementary and secondary mathematics education category. Math Master is a specialized math classroom for elementary and secondary students with over 1,000 branches nationwide. It offers a curriculum based on Kyowon Group’s 37 years of accumulated self-directed learning methods, accurately diagnosing learners’ levels and providing one-on-one customized learning.
‘Smart Kumon,’ which won the grand prize for four consecutive years in the artificial intelligence (AI) learning category, is an edutech workbook that integrates AI technology with small-step textbooks and a systematic curriculum. Every step of solving problems is recorded as data, enabling Kumon instructors to provide personalized management. The various smart learning services offered by Smart Kumon help students develop self-directed study habits and enhance learning effectiveness.
‘AiCANDO,’ which won the grand prize for the first time this year in the edutech category, is AI learning conducted in a virtual classroom implemented via metaverse, providing an ultra-immersive educational environment where students study with peers. It offers a learning system tailored to students’ levels and supports the formation of self-directed learning habits through a ‘realistic AI tutor’ and ‘AI learning analysis.’ Its ability to increase learning immersion and provide AI analysis-based customized learning management has received enthusiastic responses from parents and students.
Additionally, ‘Wiz Island’ and ‘Francis Parker Collegiate,’ which won their first grand prizes this year in the early childhood play education and early childhood English education categories respectively, are specialized educational institutions for young children. Wiz Island is an emotional play education institution for children aged 3 to 7. It develops and provides proprietary textbooks and various programs based on play-centered early childhood education theories. Francis Parker Collegiate is an educational institution that helps children grow into global leaders through various learning activities based on English.
