[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 21st that it will jointly hold the "2nd Korea-ASEAN Disaster Management Committee (Director-General Level)" with the ASEAN Secretariat on the 22nd.

However, through the high-level meeting body, the Disaster Management Committee, these efforts have been systematized, and after detailed discussions, the Korea-ASEAN Disaster Management Ministerial Meeting was established.
At this meeting, support will be declared for the Korea-ASEAN Disaster Management Implementation Plan (Work Plan), which has been jointly developed so far, and discussions will be held on the direction of joint disaster management activities and plans for the Disaster Management Ministerial Meeting. The Disaster Management Implementation Plan (Work Plan) consists of 24 cooperation areas mutually agreed upon between Korea and ASEAN.
In addition, the Korean government (co-chair, Ministry of the Interior and Safety International Administrative Cooperation Officer) will announce the promotion plan for the cooperation areas of the Korea-ASEAN Disaster Management Implementation Plan (Work Plan). It will explain detailed implementation plans and timelines for future cooperation areas such as building a disaster prediction platform using digital technology, utilizing data analysis methods in the disaster safety field, and establishing a comprehensive plan (master plan) for climate change response.
