Daesang Hyesung Provision, First in Livestock Industry to Introduce Paper Packaging Materials
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] On the 21st, Hyesung Provision, a subsidiary of Daesang Holdings, announced that it will introduce product packaging using paper packaging materials for the first time in the livestock industry.
Hyesung Provision developed eco-friendly paper packaging materials to replace existing plastic containers in line with the trend of reducing plastic. By introducing FSC-certified paper packaging materials, it is expected that about 120 tons of plastic will be reduced annually. FSC certification is an international certification system created by the Forest Stewardship Council to protect forest resources, granted to paper and products produced in a sustainable manner.
The newly introduced paper packaging will be applied first to the packaging of eight types of Australian clean beef products. Hyesung Provision plans to gradually expand the product range using paper packaging materials to broaden its ESG management efforts.
