Gokseong-gun Opens Direct Trade Market for Agricultural Specialties at Gwangju Shinsegae Department Store

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] From June 21 to 30, a direct transaction market for Gokseong-gun's agricultural specialty products cooperation will be held at the 1st floor event hall of Gwangju Shinsegae Department Store.

Fifteen agricultural households (groups) from Gokseong-gun will participate in this direct transaction market, showcasing over 60 excellent agricultural specialty products that they have directly produced and processed.

Visitors can find representative agricultural products of Gokseong-gun, such as the premium Gokseong melon, which is in season during summer, and the chewy Samgi black glutinous corn.

Additionally, differentiated processed products directly made by farmers, including taro bugak (fried taro chips), taro pie, Baeksemi cup nurungji (scorched rice), wild honey, and handmade cheese, will be well prepared.

The event venue will also serve as a place where visitors can learn various and detailed information about Gokseong's agricultural specialty products beyond just sales.

To this end, an online-linked special exhibition and on-site live commerce will be conducted.

Active promotions will be carried out, such as giving organic Baeksemi rice to the first customers who purchase both online and offline.

Moreover, the venue will be decorated with unique photo zones such as rail bikes and rose flowers to attract visitors' attention.

At the venue, information about the 'Gokseong Ice Cream Festival,' the only domestic festival held from July 15 under the theme 'A Sweet Vacation to Gokseong! Ice (氷) Vacation!' will also be provided.

The person in charge of the direct transaction market at the Agricultural Policy Division of Gokseong-gun said, “We will continuously promote various planned and special exhibitions hosted by Gokseong-gun in diverse ways so that local producers can establish a stronger income base.”
