Focusing on Promoting Healing Travel Destinations at the '2022 Naenara Travel Expo'
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County announced on the 16th that it will participate in the '2022 Naenara Travel Expo' held for four days until the 19th of this month at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul to promote the region.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Tourism Association Central Council, this expo involves 150 travel-related organizations including local governments nationwide.
Marking its 19th edition this year, the expo under the theme 'Go! Freely! To My Country!' offers various discounted travel products and travel experience opportunities for citizens who have found traveling difficult due to COVID-19 over the past three years.
Wanju County has designated June and July as 'Months to Travel to Wanju' and plans to develop and showcase special discounted travel products for each discovered tourist site, focusing on active promotion.
In particular, it will actively attract tourists by offering healing travel destination discounts supported by Hana Tour and Korea Tourism Organization, fuel voucher giveaways, free admission to the Alcohol Museum, discounts on experience fees at Daeseung Hanji Village and Sansok Lighthouse Complex Cultural Space, and themed travel products departing by train.
Additionally, it will introduce how to use the stamp tour and city tour that allow visitors to freely travel and enjoy Soyang Oseong Hanok Village and Wibong Fortress, which are gaining attention as healing pilgrimage sites of BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan).
Furthermore, Wanju Tourism will hold blog and SNS follower events, promote the 'Wanju Wild & Local Food Festival' held for three days from September 30 to October 2, and provide information on returning to farming and rural migration.
