Sunchon National University Startup Support Group Selects 10 Promising Startup Teams with Excellent Technologies
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Startup Support Group at National Suncheon University announced on the 15th that it has finally selected 10 "Pre-Startup Laboratory" teams consisting of faculty members and researchers possessing promising startup technologies within the university through the "Laboratory Specialized Startup Leading University" project hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The Startup Support Group at Suncheon University held a project orientation and agreement ceremony on the 31st of last month for the selected Pre-Startup Laboratory teams.
The selected Pre-Startup Laboratory teams include ▲ Professor Kim Hang-geon from the College of Pharmacy ▲ Professor Jeong Jeong-jo, Professor Shin Chang-seon, Researcher Oh So-hyung from the College of Engineering ▲ Professor Lee Mi-kyung, Professor Seon Woo-hoon, Professor Jeong Hee-nam from the College of Life Industry Science ▲ Professor Moon Han-sik from the College of Humanities and Arts ▲ Professor Lee Myung-hoon from the Graduate School ▲ and Professor Shim Hyun from the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.

The Startup Support Group at Suncheon University plans to provide the selected Pre-Startup teams with up to 57 million KRW in R&D development funds and 51.6 million KRW in scholarships to support the research activities of participating students. Additionally, they will offer capacity-building camps for establishing business models and securing intellectual property rights necessary for laboratory startups, investment capacity enhancement programs, specialized commercialization support programs, and customized mentoring.
