'SSAFY' is a CSR program implemented by Samsung as part of the 'Economic Revitalization and Job Creation Plan' announced in 2018, aimed at expanding the domestic IT ecosystem base and enhancing youth employment competitiveness.
Since its launch in December 2018, 'SSAFY' has graduated 3,678 students up to the 6th batch, with 2,770 of them employed, showing a 75% employment rate. Among the successful graduates, 965, accounting for 35%, were non-software majors who found new career paths through 'SSAFY.' Graduates have been employed by various companies in IT and finance sectors, including Samsung Electronics, Kakao, Naver, LG Uplus, Lotte Data Communication, Shinsegae I&C, Hyundai AutoEver, Hyundai Mobis, KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, and NH Nonghyup Bank. The number of companies that hired these graduates reaches 730.
The SSAFY 6th graduation ceremony was attended by Kwon Ki-seop, Vice Minister of Employment and Labor, Yoon Joo-kyung, member of the People Power Party, Kim Young-bae, member of the Democratic Party, Park Hak-gyu, President of Samsung Electronics Management Support Office, and 100 graduates. About 400 graduates from five campuses nationwide including Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, Gumi, and Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam participated online.
Vice Minister Kwon Ki-seop of the Ministry of Employment and Labor said, "For our economy to take a leap forward, nurturing talent in new industries and new technologies is important," adding, "We will strive to provide young people with sufficient job training and work experience opportunities through public-private collaboration." Park Hak-gyu, President of Samsung Electronics Management Support Office, stated, "I hope you pioneer a new world with software that anyone can use conveniently and easily," and "I hope you grow as digital leaders and key members of future technology."

SSAFY, which recruits trainees twice a year, currently has about 1,150 students from the 7th batch who entered in January this year undergoing training, and will provide education to 2,300 young people annually, including the 8th batch starting a one-year course from July.
