Ssangyong Motor's All-Time No.1... Torres Surpasses 12,000 Pre-Orders on First Day
Far Surpassing the Previous Best Record of Actyon Performance
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] SsangYong Motor's new car TORRES, which began pre-orders on the 13th, surpassed 12,000 contracts on the first day. The first-day contract volume of TORRES is the highest record among all new car pre-orders launched by SsangYong Motor.
According to SsangYong Motor on the 15th, the previous record for first-day pre-orders was 3,013 units for the Actyon model released in October 2005, followed by 1,870 units for the Rexton launched in 2001, and 1,254 units for the G4 Rexton in 2017.
SsangYong Motor explained that TORRES attracted consumers' attention by differentiating itself from existing sport utility vehicles (SUVs) with a retro sensibility that reinterprets the traditional SUV style with a modern touch, resulting in the brand's highest-ever performance.
SsangYong Motor is currently running an event offering customers who take delivery by the end of August a 'TORRES X Highbrow Multipurpose Tool Canvas' and a TORRES Summer Cooling Box from the outdoor collection (choose one between Highbrow Tool Canvas and the cooling box), produced in collaboration with the emotional outdoor brand Highbrow.
