'Suwon City Hall to Host "Ukraine Goryeoin Refugee Talk Concert"'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] A talk concert where you can hear the stories of Ukrainian Koryo-saram who fled to Korea after the Ukraine crisis will be held at Suwon City Hall in Gyeonggi Province.
The Suwon Sustainable Development Council announced on the 14th that it will hold the "Ukrainian Koryo-saram Refugee Talk Concert - War and Refuge" at 4 p.m. on the 18th in the City Hall medium conference room.
The talk concert, held under the theme "The Situation in Ukraine and the Refuge of Koryo-saram," will feature a lecture by Choi Ye-jin, Vice President of the Korean Koryo-saram Association, followed by a conversation with one Ukrainian Koryo-saram refugee. The Koryo-saram refugee will share information about the current situation in Ukraine.
The Suwon Sustainable Development Council is collecting funds and daily necessities to support Koryo-saram compatriots who have fled to Korea until the 17th of this month.
Donations can be transferred to the Industrial Bank of Korea account (349-011761-01-018, account holder: Suwon Sustainable Development Council).
Daily necessities can be sent by courier to the Suwon Sustainable Development Council after prior contact (1st floor, The Ham Park, 126 Suin-ro, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do) or delivered in person.
Donated items will be handed over to the Koryo-saram support organization, the non-profit corporation "Neomeo," after the talk concert.
