National Police Agency Publishes '2021 Socially Vulnerable Protection Crime Prevention White Paper'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The National Police Agency announced on the 12th that it will publish the '2021 White Paper on Protecting Socially Vulnerable Groups in Public Safety.' The white paper contains policies, systems, and public safety activities that the police have promoted so far to protect socially vulnerable groups.
According to the police, the white paper, published for the first time this year, consists of 3 chapters and 237 pages. Chapter 1 diagnoses the general status, including trends and conditions of public safety activities for protecting socially vulnerable groups. Chapter 2 covers major policies and cases by sector. The appendix in Chapter 3 provides reference information.
This white paper was produced to help the public and related organizations understand and collaborate for public safety activities tailored to the characteristics of each sector. It will be distributed to the National Assembly, government ministries, metropolitan and provincial police agencies, police stations, research institutes, universities, and civil society organizations. It will be available for sale at the Government Publications Sales Center and can also be downloaded from the National Police Agency website.

The National Police Agency stated, "We plan to produce the white paper regularly every year to expand public consensus and policy collaboration foundations for protecting socially vulnerable groups," adding, "We will continue to play a pivotal role at the forefront of protecting socially vulnerable groups so that the public can feel safe."
