7097 Confirmed Cases by 9 PM... 1000 Fewer Than Yesterday

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The COVID-19 outbreak is showing a declining trend. Approximately 7,000 new confirmed cases were reported by 9 PM on the 11th.
According to Seoul City and others, from 12 AM to 9 PM on the same day, 7,097 people across 17 cities and provinces nationwide were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
This is 1,001 fewer than the 8,098 confirmed cases reported during the same time frame the previous day.
Compared to one week ago on the 4th at the same time (9,385 cases), it is 2,288 fewer, and compared to two weeks ago on May 28 (12,333 cases), it is 5,236 fewer.
This is the first time in 20 weeks since January 22 (6,670 cases) that the number of confirmed cases recorded during the same time on a Saturday has fallen below 9,000.
As of 9 PM on the day, new confirmed cases were 3,033 (42.7%) in the metropolitan area and 4,064 (57.3%) in non-metropolitan areas.
By region, the numbers are: Gyeonggi 1,603, Seoul 1,160, Gyeongbuk 573, Gyeongnam 440, Daegu 377, Gangwon 360, Ulsan 297, Busan 281, Jeonnam 279, Jeonbuk 272, Incheon 270, Daejeon 268, Chungnam 265, Chungbuk 246, Gwangju 192, Jeju 132, and Sejong 82.
From the 5th for one week, the daily new confirmed cases were 9,832 → 5,022 → 6,171 → 13,357 → 12,161 → 9,315 → 8,442, averaging 9,185 cases per day.
