Have You Seen the 'Hope Longevity Photos'? ... Uljin-gun Jukbyeon-myeon Urban Regeneration New Deal Capacity Building Project, Photo Presentation Ceremony and Exhibition Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Have you seen the ‘Hope Longevity Photos’?
As part of this year’s Gyeongbuk Uljin-gun Jukbyeon-myeon Urban Regeneration New Deal Regional Capacity Building Project, a photo presentation ceremony and exhibition were held on the 3rd at the Jukbyeon Traditional Market Jangok.
The photos were taken of residents aged 65 and older living in Jukbyeon-myeon. The event included free photo shoots, a Hope Longevity Photo exhibition, and a souvenir presentation ceremony.
This free Hope Longevity Photo shoot is an event wishing for the health and longevity of the elders who have dedicated themselves to the development of Jukbyeon-myeon.
With 122 elders from Jukbyeon-myeon applying, the shoots were conducted at Jukbyeon Sinseong Studio, and for elders with mobility difficulties, a visiting photo shoot service was also provided.
Originally, the event was planned for residents of Jukbyeon 1-ri and 2-ri, the target areas of the Jukbyeon-myeon Urban Regeneration New Deal Project, with applications accepted from April 18 to April 22 for five days, and the event was to be held on May 8 in celebration of Parents’ Day.
Due to the inability to hold the presentation ceremony because of COVID-19 and other reasons, the application period was extended to May 20 to include all residents of Jukbyeon-myeon.
The Uljin-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center actively promoted the event by visiting all village halls in Jukbyeon-myeon to meet residents, explain the project, and encourage elder participation, resulting in 122 applications.
In particular, the merchants of Jukbyeon Traditional Market cleaned the exhibition hall located in Jangok thoroughly and helped with installing promotional materials and preparing the exhibition for the event.
