Fire at Lawyer's Office Building in Suseong-gu, Daegu... 7 Estimated Dead, Multiple Injured
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A fire broke out in a building in Suseong-gu, Daegu, resulting in multiple casualties, with an estimated 7 people dead.
According to the Daegu Fire Headquarters, the fire started on the 2nd floor of a 7-story building in Beomeo-dong at around 10:55 a.m. on the 9th.
The fire authorities responded to a report stating, "Black smoke was seen on the 2nd floor of the building and an explosion sound was heard," and arrived at the scene, extinguishing the fire around 11:17 a.m.
About 50 fire trucks and ambulances and approximately 160 personnel were dispatched to the fire scene to carry out firefighting and rescue operations.
Currently, 7 people are confirmed dead and about 30 injured. The building where the fire occurred is known to house a law office.
