Hwasun-gun Imposes 22,883 Regular Automobile Tax Cases
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun announced on the 9th that it imposed about 2.6 billion KRW in automobile tax for the 2022 regular installment (first installment) on 22,883 cases.
The June regular automobile tax was imposed at half of the annual tax amount on owners registered in the automobile registration ledger as of June 1.
However, if the annual tax amount is 100,000 KRW or less, the full year's automobile tax is imposed once in June.
The payment period for automobile tax is from the 16th to the 30th of this month. If the payment deadline is missed, a 3% surcharge will be applied.
Payment methods include visiting financial institutions to pay with the tax bill or checking and paying at ATMs without the tax bill.
There are also convenient methods that do not require visiting financial institutions, such as local tax revenue accounts, virtual accounts, Hwasun-gun integrated tax revenue system ARS, Wetax, and Internet Giro.
A county official said, "If the automobile tax payment deadline of the 30th passes, you may face disadvantages such as surcharges," and added, "Taxpayers who have applied for automatic transfer should check their bank account balance in advance by the payment deadline."
