CGV, Park Chan-wook and Song Kang-ho Cannes Special Exhibition

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] CGV announced on the 9th that it will hold a special exhibition from the 16th to the 29th to commemorate the awards won by director Park Chan-wook and actor Song Kang-ho at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
At the 'Park Chan-wook X Song Kang-ho Cannes Special Exhibition,' seven films including Oldboy, Thirst, The Handmaiden, Decision to Leave, Miryang, Parasite, and Broker will be screened.
Director Park Chan-wook will present the 57th Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize-winning film Oldboy, starring Choi Min-sik, and the 167-minute extended version of The Handmaiden, which was invited to the competition section at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. Decision to Leave, which won the Best Director award this year, will be screened in line with its release on the 29th. Thirst, which won the Jury Prize at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival with Park and Song Kang-ho together, will also be screened as a 147-minute extended version.
Broker, which won Song Kang-ho the Best Actor award this year, is the first Korean film directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, who won the Palme d'Or for Shoplifters, and was released on the 8th. Miryang (directed by Lee Chang-dong), for which actress Jeon Do-yeon won Best Actress at the 60th Cannes Film Festival, will also be screened. Additionally, Parasite, which won the Palme d'Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in 2019, will be shown again in theaters.
