Yongin City Recruits 3,342 Volunteers for Four Events Including the Gyeonggi-do Sports Competition
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, is recruiting 3,342 volunteers to participate in four events, including the 'Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival' held this year.
Yongin City announced on the 9th that it will select volunteers by the 30th of this month to work at four events held this year: ▲The 68th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival 2022 Yongin (August 25?27) ▲The 12th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival 2022 Yongin (September 1?3) ▲The 16th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Life Sports Festival 2022 Yongin (October 7?8) ▲The 33rd Gyeonggi-do Life Sports Festival 2022 Yongin (October 28?31).
Applicants must be Korean citizens aged 18 or older. However, volunteers for the table tennis event at the Disabled Sports Festival must be at least 14 years old.
Volunteers will assist with ▲general guidance ▲opening and closing ceremony guidance ▲competition support ▲event and goods distribution ▲inspection and confirmation of environmental maintenance status ▲traffic control and parking guidance support at the four events.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the city’s Volunteer Center website and sending it via email (yivc7757@v1365.or.kr) or fax (031-629-7757) by the 30th of this month.
A city official said, "We hope for active participation from citizens who wish to join the '2022 Gyeonggi-do Comprehensive Sports Festival,'" adding, "Yongin City will do its best to prepare the event to create a place of harmony for not only the 1.1 million citizens of Yongin but all residents of Gyeonggi Province."
