[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Additional support will be provided to help small business owners who have suffered difficulties due to COVID-19 develop online sales channels. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced on the 9th that it will accept applications from small business owners wishing to participate in five different channels through the '2022 Small Business Online Sales Support Project Integrated Announcement (Supplementary Budget)'.
Starting from the 13th, this recruitment will utilize 22.35 billion KRW from the 2022 2nd supplementary budget to additionally support about 13,000 small business owners. The target projects include ▲online shopping malls ▲TV home shopping and T-commerce ▲V-commerce ▲O2O platforms ▲live commerce, totaling five fields.
Considering that the purpose of this supplementary budget is the rapid recovery of small business owners, a simplified submission of documents will be accepted during recruitment. The required documents for online shopping malls will be simplified to include a small business owner confirmation certificate, national and local tax payment certificates, etc., and a separate page will be established.
