Gwangju University Opens 'Electric Vehicle Exhibition Hall' Combining AI and Autonomous Driving Technologies
Utilization of Education and Training Spaces... Expected to Enhance Employment Competencies of Enrolled Students
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyukjong) is accelerating efforts to nurture talent that will proactively respond to the global 4th Industrial Revolution and the new normal era, and lead the development of future-oriented eco-friendly vehicles.
On the 8th, Gwangju University announced the opening of an electric vehicle exhibition hall that combines artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous driving technology, which will be used as an educational and practical training space for students.
The opening ceremony held the day before was attended by President Kim Hyukjong, deans and department heads, Kim Taeseong, HR team leader of Gwangju Global Motors Co., Ltd., as well as professors and students from the AI Automotive Department.
As part of the Gwangju-Jeonnam regional innovation platform project, Gwangju University is focusing on nurturing specialized personnel for the development of energy-saving e-mobility components.
Through the opening of this exhibition hall, the university plans to develop various educational programs and intensify efforts to strengthen the employment capabilities of enrolled students.
President Kim Hyukjong stated, “As Gwangju is leading the future automobile industry based on Global Motors, our university will also take the lead in nurturing creative and convergent talents through active support in the field of future transportation devices.”
