Ssangyong Information & Communications Signs SSC Partnership with 11 Partner Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Ssangyong Information & Communications, an affiliate of ITCEN Group, announced on the 8th that it has formed an SSC (SSangyong CLOUD) partnership with 11 partner companies to ensure the smooth execution of the government cloud transition project.
Ssangyong Information & Communications has won 5 out of 8 projects ordered so far in the public sector cloud mega-transition project promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety since 2020. This year, cloud transition projects worth approximately 160 billion KRW are expected to be ordered.
A representative of Ssangyong Information & Communications explained, "To carry out the cloud mega-transition for administrative and public institutions by 2025, it is essential to have win-win cooperation with numerous capable partner companies," adding, "We signed the Ssangyong Cloud Partnership (SSCP) business agreement to successfully proceed with the project."
Participants include domestic native cloud company Innogrid, premium partner of domestic CSP Weversystems, Welldata System, public cloud data center specialist MT Data, open software DBMS specialist Beyond Data, cloud design and transition specialist Clion, Dacon Infinity, DCion, Sechan I&C, AP specialist KL Information & Communications, and People Data.
Lee Sehee, Head of DX BU at ITCEN Group, said, "Through this business agreement, we will collaborate with partner companies proven in various public and private sector cloud projects to grow together as a cloud transition specialist company."
He added, "Ssangyong Information & Communications, as Korea’s first IT service company, will become the best domestic one-stop cloud service provider that institutions preparing for digital transformation (DT) can trust and rely on."
At the agreement ceremony, Kim Myungjin, CEO of Innogrid, emphasized, "Based on this partnership, we will collaborate with Ssangyong Information & Communications to expand various cloud solution businesses in future public transition projects," and "We will devote ourselves to public digital transformation together until 2025."
