Kang previously served as a member of the 19th National Assembly and as the Senior Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Presidential Office. He is currently a professor in the Department of Economics at Sungshin Women's University, nurturing future scholars, and is regarded as a policy finance expert who has long studied international financial environment analysis and financial and economic policies.
