Gwangju University Students Sweat It Out Helping Hands on Farms During Busy Farming Season
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyukjong) announced on the 7th that it recently visited a paprika farm in Hyosan-ri, Dogok-myeon, Hwasun-gun, Jeonnam, to help with farm work during the busy farming season.
Forty students from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences worked hard, engaging in various activities such as harvesting paprika, pinching shoots, and cleaning the environment.
This volunteer farm work was carried out according to the social contribution agreement among the province, universities, and NongHyup, signed by the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional University Presidents' Council to operate the university student rural workforce support group.
It was conducted with the goal of contributing to the local community through talent donation amid the shortage of farm labor.
