Support for Overseas Marketing of SMEs... Busan Port Authority Recruiting Participating Companies for 'Busan Port Overseas Market Development Support Project'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) has decided to implement the ‘Busan Port Overseas Market Development Support Project’ again this year in collaboration with the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, following last year, and is recruiting participating companies.
The project supports small and medium-sized export companies that are facing great difficulties in overseas sales due to strengthened quarantine and immigration inspections worldwide amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, by utilizing non-face-to-face methods so that they can promote and market without direct contact with foreign buyers.
Since 2020, BPA has been collaborating with the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to carry out support projects covering all stages of export marketing activities, from ‘export preparation - buyer discovery - contract progress.’
The detailed projects include ▲production of promotional materials ▲support for overseas branch establishment projects ▲support for overseas certification and testing analysis fees ▲discovery of overseas buyers ▲issuance of export documents ▲global online marketing ▲translation and interpretation ▲logistics cost support, among others.
The support targets are small and medium-sized enterprises in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions that have used Busan Port.
Companies wishing to participate can download the application form from the Social Value menu’s Win-Win Growth notices on the BPA website from the 7th to the 15th, fill it out, and submit it via email.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, said, “In a situation where overseas market development activities of local small and medium-sized enterprises have been restrained due to the prolonged COVID-19 crisis, we hope this support project will act as a catalyst for overseas marketing of SMEs,” adding, “We will provide multifaceted support so that SMEs can turn the crisis caused by COVID-19 into an opportunity.”
