HDC Shilla Duty Free Appoints Kim Dae-jung as New Co-CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] HDC Shilla Duty Free announced on the 7th that it has appointed Kim Dae-jung, former head of the order division at HDC Hyundai Development Company, as the new co-CEO.
Co-CEO Kim was born in 1969 and graduated from Konkuk University with a degree in Public Administration. He joined HDC Hyundai Development Company in 1995, serving as head of the Management Analysis Team and Urban Regeneration Team, gaining expertise in management and construction projects. In 2019, he served as CEO of Hotel HDC, expanding his expertise into the hotel and resort business, and expanded operations of hotels located in key domestic areas such as Park Hyatt. Last year, he led the order division at HDC Hyundai Development Company.

Co-CEO Kim said, "With the expectation of the COVID-19 endemic (periodic outbreak of infectious diseases), demand for overseas travel is increasing, leading to more customers visiting duty-free shops.
