[Featured Stock] Korea Aerospace Industries Rises 5% on News of Exploring 2 Trillion KRW FA-50 Purchase by Poland
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Korea Aerospace Industries is showing strong performance.
At 9:25 AM on the 22nd, Korea Aerospace Industries was trading at 54,900 KRW, up 4.97% from the previous trading day. It is analyzed that investor sentiment expanded following the news that Poland expressed its intention to purchase 48 domestically produced light attack aircraft FA-50s.
According to the defense industry, Mariusz Błaszczak, Poland's Minister of National Defense, visited the Korea Aerospace Industries factory at the end of last month and reportedly expressed an intention to purchase FA-50s worth approximately 2 trillion KRW. The market views this as the Air Force preparing to donate former Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine and planning to purchase a large number of FA-50s as replacement forces.
