Hancom Metaverse 'Sytown' Enters Google App Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Hancom's metaverse service 'CyTown' has received final application (app) approval from the Google Play Store.
According to Hancom on the 5th, the final review for the CyTown app was requested on the 2nd from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, and the Android version app on the Google Play Store was approved the day before.
With this, once Cyworld Z completes the integration work between Cyworld and 'CyTown,' the official launch will be possible. The iOS version of 'CyTown' will also enter official service sequentially after integration with Cyworld immediately upon final app review approval from the Apple App Store.
In the official service, users will be able to connect to the 'CyTown' plaza through the Cyworld app and communicate with each other in real time. Hancom has upgraded 'CyTown's graphics from 2.5D to 3D, added various features such as support for 15 Minimi avatars, Minimi motion functions, interactive features allowing object acquisition, and completed service design work for external brand entry.

A Hancom official said, "All preparations for the launch are complete, and only the integration work by Cyworld Z remains," adding, "We hope that Cyworld's 6 million users will be able to experience CyTown."
