[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] As summer begins, the hotel industry is introducing new menus to capture the tastes of the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) and beat the heat.
According to the industry on the 4th, The Deli at Grand Hyatt Seoul will offer a new series of twisted doughnuts topped with various ingredients throughout June. This is to target the tastes of the MZ generation. The twisted doughnut series will be available in five varieties.
The "Oreo Churros Twisted Doughnut" is topped generously with cream, decorated with Oreo churros and mini Oreos. The "Bacon Cheese Twisted Doughnut," topped lightly with cheese and bacon, offers a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors. The "Lotus Earl Grey Twisted Doughnut" combines the aroma of Earl Grey tea with the sweet cinnamon scent of Lotus, delivering a delightful sweetness. The "Mint Chocolate Twisted Doughnut" is loaded with mint chocolate cream and mint chocolate toppings. Also introduced is the "Salted Caramel Twisted Doughnut," featuring salted caramel, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds for a nutty flavor. Each twisted doughnut is sold for 6,000 KRW (tax included).
At the bakery Sweet Corner of Ananti Hilton Busan, new summer menus include "Seaweed Salt Bread" and "Cream Cheese Red Yeast Rice Bread." The Seaweed Salt Bread incorporates seaweed from Gijang, Busan, into salt bread, offering a savory taste and ocean aroma. The Cream Cheese Red Yeast Rice Bread is made using red yeast rice instead of flour, attracting attention with its reddish color, and filled with cream cheese and dried plums, providing a rich and mild flavor the more you chew.

Menus made with seasonal fruits are also introduced. The "Mango Shortcake," made with mango, a representative tropical fruit of summer, features sweet apple mango and fresh cream between soft cake layers, delivering a rich flavor. The "Cherry Chocolate Choux" is also launched, filled with dark chocolate cream and cherry compote, offering a perfect sweet and tangy taste.
