Amazon Consumer Business Key Executive to Resign on the 1st of Next Month
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] Dave Clark, CEO of Amazon's Global Consumer Business Division, the world's largest e-commerce company, will resign on the 1st of next month.
According to the US economic media CNBC on the 3rd (local time), Andy Jassy, who succeeded Amazon founder Jeff Bezos as CEO, stated, "The past few years have been the most challenging and unpredictable period in Amazon's consumer business history. I am especially grateful for Dave's leadership during that time."
CEO Jassy mentioned that Amazon is currently in the final stages of selecting Clark's successor and will announce the replacement within the next few weeks.

Clark, who has been with Amazon for 23 years, was known as CEO Jassy's closest aide and second-in-command. As CEO of the Global Consumer Business Division, he oversaw key businesses including the online store, offline stores, third-party sellers' online marketplace, and the membership service Amazon Prime subscription. This accounts for 75% of Amazon's total revenue.
