Tmon "Overseas Travel Increased by 76% After Quarantine Lift"
Tmon Launches Worldwide Quarantine-Free Overseas Travel Packages
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Demand for overseas travel has surged since quarantine measures were lifted. TMON announced on the 3rd that the number of overseas flight bookings in May this year increased by 76% compared to the average from January to March before the quarantine was lifted. Compared to the same period last year during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, bookings soared more than fourfold.
Looking at the ranking of overseas flight bookings by region in May, Guam ranked first. It was followed by Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Los Angeles. As the first summer vacation after the lifting of quarantine for overseas arrivals approaches, demand is concentrated on South Pacific and Southeast Asian resorts that are ideal for family trips.
In response, TMON is running the 'TMON-eun Yeohaengiji' (TMON is Travel) promotion, offering discounts of up to 740,000 KRW. The 'TMON-eun Yeohaengiji' promotion, which will run throughout June, is a large-scale event selling over 100 products for quarantine-free travel destinations worldwide. Following the implementation of the exemption for overseas arrivals in March, overseas travel, which had been halted for more than two years, has resumed in earnest, and this promotion was planned to revitalize overseas travel.
In particular, this is the first online promotion conducted simultaneously with the launch of 'Yeohaengiji,' a new brand by Kyowon Tour, TMON's top partner in overseas travel sales. TMON plans to offer various discounts and prize events together.
