Damyang-gun Promotes On-site Consulting for New Technology Commercialization of Regional Specialty Products
Customized On-Site Issue Resolution Based on Demand for Items Such as Melon
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 2nd that the Agricultural Technology Center will promote the '2022 Regional Specialized Crop New Technology Practical Field Consulting' focusing on four crops.
The consulting for each crop focuses on stable agricultural production and increasing farmers' income through on-site education in areas requested by participants, such as cultivation techniques for each crop.
This year's field consulting crops are melon, tomato, blueberry, and strawberry. For each crop, more than two sessions will be conducted for farmers who applied by crop, combining theoretical and field consulting by professional consultants in the desired areas.
In particular, during the melon consulting held on the 31st of last month, the focus was on visiting melon cultivation greenhouses in Mujeong-myeon and resolving difficulties faced by farmers on-site. Education centered on counseling tailored to the appropriate cultivation timing for each growth stage of melons and various practical cases in the field received great responses from participants.
