According to the exit poll announced at 7:30 PM on the voting day, the 1st of the month, by the three terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS), candidate Lee Jeong-seon was predicted to be in first place with 35.9%.
Candidate Park Hye-ja was predicted to be in second place with 22.8%. The gap between the two candidates is 13.1 percentage points.
