View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 1st, Kim Ki-hyun, a member of the People Power Party, strongly criticized former President Moon Jae-in for suing a civic group protesting in front of his residence in Yangsan, saying, "It cannot be compared to the malicious acts committed by so-called Moon fans, Daekkaemun, and Democratic Party politicians against former Presidents Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak."
On the same day, Kim posted on his Facebook, stating, "Democratic Party lawmakers from the Moon Jae-in administration's Blue House said that President Yoon Suk-yeol and the government should intervene in the protests by civic groups in front of the private residence in Pyeongsan Village, Yangsan City, and that protecting the peace of Pyeongsan Village is the duty of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration. Eventually, former President Moon even sued members of the civic group on charges of murder, arson, and threats," he revealed.
He added, "I do not want to say, 'Freedom of assembly and protest is guaranteed, and since more severe incidents happened in the past, it's okay; endure it without complaints,'" but emphasized, "It should not reach a level that infringes on the basic rights of other residents within the bounds of law and common sense."
However, he said, "While it might be understandable if it were someone else, it is unacceptable for former President Moon and his close associates to talk about 'the peace of Pyeongsan Village' while engaging in lawsuits and counter-lawsuits," pointing out, "The very people who caused the current situation are former President Moon and his close associates."
Kim asked, "Do you still not truly understand why the members of the civic group in front of the residence are shouting, putting aside their daily lives and routines?" He continued, "Even regarding the election terror that occurred in Ulsan four years ago, where a 30-year close friend of the president was elected mayor of Ulsan by falsely accusing the opposing candidate, destroying the lives and homes of their families, there has been no apology to this day. Instead, they stubbornly hold their heads high and boast loudly."
He went on, "Moreover, I recall that during the past presidential campaign, when Moon fans and Daekkaemun sent malicious comment bomb texts to the opposing candidate, former President Moon even encouraged it, calling it 'seasoning that makes the competition interesting,'" criticizing, "It seems they do not realize how dangerous the pro-Moon hegemonism was, which shamelessly sprinkled salt on the wounds of those hurt by harsh verbal attacks and malicious comments, only focusing on their own supporters regardless of the damage to the opposing camp."

Kim said, "Their reaction of filing lawsuits and counter-lawsuits in a fit of rage at criticism and condemnation directed at them is truly hypocritical," and added, "Instead of dividing the people with politics of division and hatred any longer, perhaps it would be better to humbly ask for understanding with an apologetic heart toward the people who have suffered."
