Protecting the "One and Only Earth"... Dongdaemun-gu, 2022 Environment Day Campaign
3rd 27th Environment Day Commemoration Campaign Held... Join Carbon Neutral Practice Points, Experience EM Mudball Throwing, Receive Eco-Friendly Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) will hold the commemorative campaign "The Only Earth" on June 3rd in celebration of the 27th Environment Day, together with the Dongdaemun-gu 2050 Carbon Neutrality Action Group.
The district prepared this campaign to engage residents in carbon neutrality activities that offset greenhouse gas emissions with equivalent measures, effectively reducing net emissions to zero.
The carbon neutrality campaign, held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the 3rd at Jungnangcheon 1st Sports Park, will feature experiential events such as EM mud ball throwing and an energy-saving OX quiz. These activities aim to raise awareness about improving river water quality and reducing greenhouse gases.
Additionally, residents who participate in signing up for carbon neutrality action points and pledging to practice carbon neutrality on the day will receive zero-waste kits and reusable cups.
A district official stated, "We will continue to spread a culture that reduces greenhouse gases and builds consensus on the climate crisis and carbon neutrality."
