Wanju-gun Youth Training Center Obtains Certification for Youth Training Activities

[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju-gun announced on the 31st that the Wanju-gun Youth Training Center has obtained the ‘Youth Training Activity Certification.’

The Youth Training Activity Certification System is a program implemented under Article 35 of the Youth Activity Promotion Act, awarded by the government to places recognized for their programs, leadership, and activity environment.

The programs certified at the Wanju-gun Youth Training Center are ▲Goodbye NicoTeen ▲We Will Protect Kkoyang ‘Yaong’ ▲Swimming Together with Friends, totaling three programs.

Goodbye NicoTeen guides teenage youth to make right choices and encourages them to have a healthy adolescence through smoking prevention and cessation education.

We Will Protect Kkoyang ‘Yaong’ provides food and shelter to neighborhood cats around the Wanju-gun Youth Training Center, eliminating the risk factors of cats crossing roads in search of food, thereby helping youth to appreciate the value of life and develop a sense of responsibility.

Additionally, Swimming Together with Friends helps overcome fear of water and enjoy a pleasant leisure culture, allowing participants to practice various swimming techniques with friends and have opportunities for balanced growth and development.

These certified programs aim to provide participating youth with safe and quality-assured youth activity information, and the government records, maintains, and manages the activity details to offer materials for self-development and career exploration.

A Wanju-gun official stated, “Through the Youth Training Activity Certification, the Wanju-gun Youth Training Center has established a venue for healthy youth activity choices and secured trust in youth activities overall,” adding, “We will continue to provide high-quality programs to contribute to the balanced growth of Wanju-gun youth.”
