[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 31st, Jeong Seung-hwan, Commissioner of Gwangju Main Customs, visited Sebang Lithium Battery Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of lithium-ion battery modules for vehicles located in Pyeongdong Industrial Complex, Gwangju, to listen to on-site opinions and discuss export support measures.
On this day, Commissioner Jeong expressed his gratitude for the efforts contributing to regional economic development and job creation through facility investment despite difficult domestic and international conditions such as COVID-19 and instability in the international logistics supply chain. He also stated that he would devise various customs administration support measures to reduce customs logistics costs, such as expedited customs clearance of imported raw materials and reduction of export-import inspections.
He also promised to support the application of FTA preferential tariff rates to enhance price competitiveness when exporting to Europe, and to assist in obtaining Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification to facilitate smooth overseas market expansion.
