OB Beer Launches Hong Kong's No.1 Beer 'Blue Girl' in South Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] OB Beer announced on the 31st that it will launch "Blue Girl," the best-selling beer in Hong Kong, in the domestic market on the 1st of next month.
Blue Girl is a premium beer that OB Beer has been exporting since 1988 through an Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) method. The local distributor in Hong Kong is the Jepson Group. Blue Girl is a Pilsner-style lager beer, and OB Beer developed a recipe tailored to the taste preferences of Hong Kong consumers who favor a rich European-style flavor. According to OB Beer, Blue Girl has held the number one position in the Hong Kong beer market for 16 consecutive years since 2007.

The Blue Girl beer released domestically will be the same 500mL canned beer as the export product, with an alcohol content of 5%. Blue Girl will be available at convenience stores nationwide starting June 1st, one day after the announcement. OB Beer described the domestic launch of Blue Girl as "the first case of a beer made with Korean technology that achieved success overseas being reintroduced to the domestic market."
