Hampyeong-gun Accelerates Livestock Manure Joint Resource Utilization Project
8.9 Billion Invested... Establishing a Win-Win System for Agriculture and Livestock Industries
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Hampyeong-gun is accelerating the promotion of the ‘2022 Livestock Manure Joint Resource (Energy) Project.’
On the 29th, according to the county, approximately 8.9 billion KRW will be invested to build a joint resource facility in the Gyelim-ri area of Wolya-myeon for the resource utilization and stable treatment of livestock manure.
The joint resource facility is expected to help efficiently process livestock manure by producing electricity using livestock manure and recycling the fermented digestate as compost and liquid fertilizer.
The newly constructed joint resource facility will be operated through the Heuksarang Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, targeting a daily livestock manure treatment capacity of 97 tons and electricity production of 4,327 kWh.
The county is currently conducting a design and construction method contest for selecting a company, and after selection, plans to proceed with various permits, a small-scale environmental impact assessment, and related administrative procedures to begin construction in November.
