Mrs. Kim also cast her vote in the booth following former President Moon, and they both placed their ballots into the ballot box side by side.
Former President Moon told reporters, "Returning to the region itself is meant to contribute to balanced regional development. I hope to see many capable workers for the region through the election."
He also encouraged voting, saying, "Upon coming here, I was surprised to see so many people participating despite it being a local election. I believe voting is what advances politics and develops the Republic of Korea."
