The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 27th that they have detained and are investigating A (28) on suspicion of attempted arson.
According to the police, A is suspected of entering the staff waiting room of Gimpo Airport parking lot at around 8:25 p.m. the previous day, locking the door, and attempting to commit arson by lighting a blanket on fire with a lighter.
An airport special security team employee who witnessed this reported it to 112, and the Gimpo Airport Police Unit, which arrived at the scene, forcibly opened the door, extinguished the fire, and arrested A on the spot, handing her over to the Gangseo Police Station.
