The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 27th that on the 19th, they summoned Kim Soon-hwan, Secretary General of the Committee for the People's Livelihood Measures, as a suspect on charges of false accusation and conducted an investigation.
Earlier, Song's camp reportedly filed a complaint with the police on the 28th of last month, stating that the sex bribery allegations raised and reported by Secretary General Kim were groundless.
Secretary General Kim had raised suspicions that Democratic Party lawmakers Song Young-gil, Yoon Ho-jung, and Woo Sang-ho received or condoned alcohol and sex bribery from business officials in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2004, and on March 15, he filed a police complaint against them.
