KT and POSTECH Collaborate to Train AI Specialists
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT announced on the 26th that it will collaborate with POSTECH to nurture talent in artificial intelligence (AI).
Through this collaboration, the newly established "KT-POSTECH AI Talent Development Program" starting next year is a full-time master's course linked to recruitment aimed at cultivating AI specialists. Recruitment will begin in the second half of this year for candidates with domestic or international bachelor's degrees (or expected degrees). Those who are finally selected will receive education based on a customized curriculum focused on core AI fields such as speech recognition and synthesis, natural language processing, and graphics and computer vision.

KT will provide students with full tuition coverage including admission fees during their graduate studies, as well as research support funds, and will also offer dormitories for students from distant locations. Additionally, students can utilize KT's latest graphics processing unit (GPU) servers for research, and KT internships will be available during vacation periods. After graduation, students will work as researchers at KT Convergence Technology Institute and other affiliated organizations.
