Financial Security Institute Hosts Data Analysis Utilization Competition
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Financial Security Institute announced on the 26th that it will hold the largest data analysis and utilization competition in the financial sector, the ‘FSI Data Challenge 2022.’
This competition uses six types of analysis data provided by the Financial Security Institute from banks, financial investment, insurance, and card sectors, along with other external data. Participants are free to select their topics, analyze the data, and produce results. They can propose innovative business plans or problem-solving methods.
The competition is open to domestic university (graduate) students. Those applying for jobs at sponsoring organizations will receive preferential hiring benefits. The application period is from the 2nd to the 30th of next month. After preliminary and final evaluations, eight winning teams will be selected.

Kim Cheol-woong, President of the Financial Security Institute, said, “As this provides an opportunity to grow as financial data analysis experts, we expect active interest and participation,” and added, “We will expand and develop the competition as a platform for collective intelligence in the financial sector.”
