Mokpo Prison Donates Love Sharing Scholarship to Muan Middle School
Five Students from Muan Middle School Awarded Total Scholarship of 1.5 Million Won
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Mokpo Correctional Institution, located in Illo-eup, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, has awarded love-sharing scholarships to five students from Muan Middle School.
Today (the 25th), Mokpo Correctional Institution presented a total of 1.5 million KRW in love-sharing scholarships to five current students of Muan Middle School.
The scholarship fund is operated with contributions collected from all employees of Mokpo Correctional Institution. Students who diligently pursue their studies are selected based on the principal's recommendation and the scholarships are awarded twice a year.
Director Choi Guk-jin stated, "I hope the small gesture from the staff of Mokpo Correctional Institution will be of help to the students," adding, "We will continue to practice sharing and consideration through steady support and volunteer activities."
