Former Governor Kim was sentenced to two years in prison for conspiring in the Druking comment manipulation case and is currently incarcerated at Masan Prison in Gyeongnam, with a scheduled release in May next year.
On the 22nd, Kim Kyung-soo’s spouse, Kim Jeong-soon, posted on his Facebook, saying, “It’s been a while since we shared news,” and added, “May is a month when former President Roh Moo-hyun is especially missed.”
Kim Jeong-soon stated, “My husband sent a poem by poet Jeong Ho-seung while thinking of former President Roh, and I would like to share it,” and added, “My husband firmly believes that while people can be imprisoned, the truth cannot be confined.”
She added, “On the day we meet again, I will see you in a stronger state,” and introduced Jeong Ho-seung’s poem ‘The Unsent Letter.’
‘The Unsent Letter’ is known as a poem written by the poet in 1987 reflecting on the death of martyr Park Jong-cheol, who died under police water torture at the time.
