Lina Life Insurance Introduces Reusable Cups in Office to Foster "Eco-Friendly Culture"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] LINA Life Insurance announced on the 23rd that it will carry out a ‘Reusable Cup Usage Campaign’ to encourage reducing the use of disposable products in daily life.
LINA Life placed reusable cups in the in-house employee lounge (Saenggaknaru), which has coffee machines, so that employees can drink beverages without using disposable products even if they do not have their own cups. After finishing, cups can be placed in the installed return collection box, reducing the hassle of washing dishes.
The reusable cups collected in the return collection box are cleaned through a six-step washing process by a specialized company and reused. Cups used more than 300 times are recycled into reusable containers.
This ‘Reusable Cup Usage Campaign’ was conducted as part of the Gwanghwamun One Team activities. Gwanghwamun One Team was launched in May last year with a total of 17 organizations, including companies located in Gwanghwamun such as LINA Life, local governments, and non-profit organizations, to practice ESG (Environment, Social, Governance).
To celebrate the first anniversary this year, the team plans to open a direct market for small business owners in the lobbies of each organization and introduce eco-friendly campaigns such as △using shared umbrellas △donating steps.
