Yun Byeong-tae, Naju Mayor Candidate, Officially Starts Election Campaign with Jeongryulsa Shrine Visit

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Yoon Byung-tae, the Democratic Party candidate for mayor of Naju, announced on the 19th that he has started his 13-day election campaign under the catchphrase "A New Beginning for Naju, Change the People to Change Naju."

Candidate Yoon Byung-tae will hold a departure ceremony at Moksagol Market after paying respects at Jeongryeolsa Shrine at 9 a.m., together with three candidates for Jeonnam Provincial Assembly and sixteen candidates for city council.

Candidate Yoon announced seven core development strategies to establish a foundation for a global small but strong city with a population of 200,000.

The core development strategies include the creation of Yeongsan River National Garden, sustainable agriculture and making rural areas worth living in, improvement of residential conditions in Bitgaram-dong, leading the energy new industry and creating a future advanced science city, establishing a premium education city, building a welfare community city where everyone is happy, and a completely changed city hall that works properly.

Afterward, at 11 a.m., he plans to attend the 42nd anniversary ceremony of the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising and then start a walking campaign.

From 5 p.m. that day, a focused campaign will be held on Jungang-ro in Naju with the attendance of National Assembly member Park Kwang-on, chairman of the National Assembly Judiciary Committee.

Candidate Yoon said, "We will eliminate illegality and corruption, and to start a new Naju, the people must change to change Naju. Yoon Byung-tae is the only prepared candidate who has led public sector innovation and fiscal reform under the Kim Dae-jung and Moon Jae-in administrations and has experience in national and provincial government."
