KenkoAerospace Achieves Record Quarterly Sales
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Kenko Aerospace has achieved its highest quarterly sales ever.
Kenko Aerospace announced on the 17th that it recorded sales of 16.5 billion KRW on a consolidated basis in the first quarter of this year, a 61.7% increase compared to the same period last year. It posted an operating loss of 2.1 billion KRW.
Kenko cited the main reasons for the record first-quarter sales as ▲ increased sales from passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion business ▲ strong performance of subsidiaries ▲ expanded sales in the US space materials sector.
The passenger-to-freighter conversion business, which began in earnest from the second quarter of last year, has entered its second year, stabilizing the cost ratio. It is expected to break even around the fourth quarter of this year.
The outlook for new businesses is also bright. Based on active government support, Kenko's urban air mobility (UAM) business, which has been prepared over time, is now being launched in earnest.
