View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Junho] Gwangju Nambu Fire Station (Chief Lee Jeongja) announced on the 16th that it conducted training to strengthen core competencies for 119 paramedics on the 13th.
This training was organized to improve the survival rate of critically ill emergency patients by enhancing pre-hospital emergency medical services for severe trauma, and also to improve on-site emergency treatment skills of 119 paramedics through customized one-on-one practice.
Participants included 119 paramedics from Nambu Fire Station and specialists from the Regional Trauma Center such as Professor Lee Hyungyeon from Chonnam National University Hospital.
The training course started with theoretical education on severe trauma treatment, followed by feedback through severe trauma patient case studies, education based on data analysis results from the Regional Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Center, and intravenous injection practice.

The 119 paramedics who participated in the training said, “Prompt and professional emergency treatment plays an important role in resuscitating emergency patients such as those in cardiac arrest,” and added, “We will do our best to provide high-quality 119 emergency services to citizens through this training.”
