National Library for Children and Young Adults, '3-Line Acrostic Poem Contest' Online Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Library for Children and Young Adults is holding an online event for youth until the 31st in celebration of Youth Month in May.
Youth can submit a creative and witty three-line acrostic poem using the words "Youth" or "Library" through the library's website. The submitted poems will be judged in June, and 28 outstanding and original works will be awarded certificates and prizes, including the Director's Award of the National Library for Children and Young Adults.
This event utilizes the "Online Tour" content on the library's website to allow youth nationwide to visit the National Library for Children and Young Adults virtually. After accessing the "Online Tour," participants can explore various parts of the library, solve quizzes related to the library and books, find the library escape URL, and submit their entries.
The "Online Tour" is a virtual reality service filmed in high-definition throughout the entire library building, including the interior, designed to provide an online library tour service for users who cannot visit the library in person due to spatial or temporal constraints. Additionally, youth who solve the quizzes and escape the library will be entered into a draw to win prizes such as wireless earphones and cultural gift certificates.
A representative of the National Library for Children and Young Adults stated, "The library plans to offer various reading culture programs so that youth, the future leaders, can freely utilize the library. We hope that this first-ever Youth Month event in May will provide an opportunity for youth to become familiar not only with books but also with the library." Offline events, including special lectures by invited speakers, are also being prepared for youth visiting the library in person.
